Sergio Bellotti Drum Clinic

Seattle Drum School presents a special guest drummer, Sergio Bellotti!                          Sergio Bellotti will be teaching private lessons on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013, 11:00am – 5:00pm. He will also be teaching two free drum clinics. Drum Clinic on Sunday, November 2013 at 2:00pm will be open to everyone and will cover some of Sergio’s drum concepts, as well as information for any prospective students that might be considering attending Berklee or any other collegiate music programs. Drum Clinic on Monday, November 4th at 12:30pm will focus on advanced drum concepts. In particular, Sergio will spend some time talking about how to be a better teacher; this event is primarily designed for faculty and higher caliber players in the area. Sergio Bellotti moved from the south of Italy to the USA in 1995. Very active in the music scene of Boston first and as a worldwide clinician/performer, Sergio has recorded and/or shared the stage with Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz, Tom Scott, Bob James, Robben Ford, Rocco Ventrella, Robben Ford,Nathan East and Dan Siegel among others. He currently plays with fusion ensemble Spajazzy (first Cd with Mike Stern) and co-leads a Duo with Percussion Virtuoso and Remo Signature Artist Alessandra Belloni.

Sergio performs weekly with WeJazzUp! as well as with many others local musicians and visiting artists.

Sergio is the founder of the successful “Do You Speak Drumming” program with allows him to travel to Italy up to 4 times a year for clinics/Master Classes and concerts, and gives an opportunity to international students to experience full immersion one-on-one lessons as well as life in the music scene of Boston filled with jam sessions, clinics and much more.

Sergio has been teaching part-time as a regular visiting artist at the GM drum school in Torino and the Conservatorio Della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano Swiss.

Sergio has taught drum set at Berklee College of Music since 2002, writes for DrumClub magazine in Italy, and, as a worldwide clinician, has performed at the Montreal Drum Fest ’03 (now available on DVD), Cape Breton International Drum Fest 2004, 2005 and 2006, Berklee World Percussion Festival ’05 and at PASIC ’05 and ’09 in the USA and PASIC ‘06,07 and 2010 in Italy as well as KOSA Usa 2010,2011,2011, KOSA Italy 2011 and 2012was the MC at the Joe Morello Tribute Concert in Italy in May of 2011.
