The working band Sister Ray is looking for a replacement bass player as ours is leaving on or before Sept. Sister Ray rehearses weekly in West Seattle, and plays lots of paying gigs. We will also be recording another CD this year. Check out the web site to see if the band works for you so we can schedule a audition. Serious players only!

Experienced guitarist/singer/songwriter looking to form a band. Already have a bassist. We will possibly add another person for a four piece, but need a potential drummer to begin. I have a drum set (Ludwig 5 piece with good cymbals) and PA/amps at my Kenmore/Bothell area home rehearsal space. You will not need to haul a drum set, unless we decide to eventually rehearse somewhere else.
About me – experienced guitarist/songwriter, considering being the front man in this band, though that would be completely new for me.
• My former band was picked as one of 4 bands to compete in the End’s 1999 Deck the Hall Ball battle of the bands (we did not win :-)
• One of my songs was picked in the first annual (2004) Bob Rivers “Write a bleepin’ song contest” (came in 4th of 10 or so I think)
• Had a song included on the first annual 2007 MS Giving CD

Compatibility factors –
1. Professional yet looking for something fun. No members will be considered for-hire. All equal members.
2. Talented with some flash yet able to play with appropriate restraint
3. You absolutely must be rock steady (we will rock) and have ability to play with a Led Foot if necessary.
4. Should be able to swing in a funky/sort of hip hop swinging sixteenths way, with great feel
5. Ability to play in multiple genres
We will probably be playing a combination of covers and original material, maybe throwing in a set of blues tunes. I’m not sure yet.
If you’re interested, please submit in some form some recordings of yourself directly to me and maybe some other info. Feel free to submit a demo and come over and jam at first without commitment to get a feel for group dynamic.
It may be a little while before a response is sent. I am sending out feelers in multiple places. Please be patient.
